The WAN-IFRA Media Development Brain Trust is an informal, voluntary committee of newspaper and business executives from around the world with a vested interest in helping their peers in emerging, transitional or post-conflict countries succeed as agents of change in their societies.

Members of the Brain Trust share their expertise and insights on a wide range of editorial and business matters through virtual mentoring sessions, consultancy clinics as well as in-person or virtual workshops as part of WAN-IFRA’s broad spectrum of media development programmes.

While the extent and nature of the contribution of individual members of the Brain Trust varies, what unites the Brain Trust is a common vested interest in strengthening the economic and editorial independence of the press throughout the globe in support of freedom of the press and all that it upholds as a cornerstone of democracy, equality and good governance.
